HERBERT FLEMMING COMPANY. ‘‘THE MORALS OF MARCUS.” Besides “The Mummy and the Humming Bird,” which pTay Mr. Flemming lias decided to make the initial production, tlioro are several others equally as good which the ac-tor-manager was fortunato in securing during his recent visit to- England, ono of which-is particularly dosorving of mention, is “Tho Morals of Marcus,” a four-act dramatic version of tho novel, “Tho Morals of Marcus Ordoyno,” a middle-aged baronet . with no taste for society, and a- taste ! for research, who is astounded one evening while seated in his garden by the sudden appearance of a beautiful girl, who tolls him a curious tale. She is the daughter of British parents, who live in Syria. Her father dying, •her mother entered a Turkish harem. From there the young girl (Carlotta) eloped with a young Englishman, who brought her to England, left her on a train, and for some unexplained reason committed suicide. Not knowing what else to do, Sir Marcus takes her into his household, much to the- indignation of his neighbors, and then falls in love with her.’ There is another claimant, however, for his affections ,wlio becomes jealous, and persuades one Sebastian Pasqualc Lo abduct Carlotta and marry her. The box plans for the four plays are now open at Miller’s Corner.
