BILLIARDS.
Much interest is being taken in the competition at present proceeding at the Victoria Billiard Saloon for the championship of Gisborne and a gold medal presented by the proprietors of the Saloon. Altogether 91 games will have to be played, each of the 14 players playing 13 games, and the championship going to the winner of the highest number of games. After last Thursday’s game the position of the competitors was as follows.—
