BOWLING.

GISBORNE CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Gisborne Bowling Club was field yesterday morning. Mr. A. T. Hookey was appointed to act with Messrs. Ambridge and Hennessy on the Match Committee, taking the place of Mr. T. Adair, who lias been granted leave of absence. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. W. Morgan for the loan of a number of measures. It was decided to close the entry list for the Champion Cup to-day. Mr. F. Martin was appointed'skip of the rink to be sent to Napier, Mr. 1 onsford having notified liis inability to get away. The draw for the Shield Competition was as follows (names of skips onlv given):—Haiti y. Whataupoko: Pons ford plays P. Martin, Wiley plays Hennessy. Kaiti v.
