BOWLING.
GISBORNE CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Gisborne Bowling Club was field yesterday morning. Mr. A. T. Hookey was appointed to act with Messrs. Ambridge and Hennessy on the Match Committee, taking the place of Mr. T. Adair, who lias been granted leave of absence. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. W. Morgan for the loan of a number of measures. It was decided to close the entry list for the Champion Cup to-day. Mr. F. Martin was appointed'skip of the rink to be sent to Napier, Mr. 1 onsford having notified liis inability to get away. The draw for the Shield Competition was as follows (names of skips onlv given):—Haiti y. Whataupoko: Pons ford plays P. Martin, Wiley plays Hennessy. Kaiti v. City : Ponslord plays Brady, 'Witty plays Coleman. Haiti v. West End: Poi?;ford plays Simson, Witty plays Crawford. Whataupoko v. Haiti: P. Martin plays Ponsford, Hennessy plays Witty. Whataupoko v. City : P.'Martin plays Brady, Hennessy plavs Coleman. Whatupoko v. West End: F. Martin plays Simson, Hennessy plays Crawford. City v. Haiti: ' Brody plays Ponsford, Coleman plays Witty.
