NUIIAKA STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., reput as follows on their Nuha'ka stock sale on Saturday: AVu offered 1200 sheep and 100 cattle. Bidding was brisk throughout, and nearly every line found buyers. Five-year-old ewes made 12s 6d’, 2 and 4-tootli wethers 13s, lambs 5s to 7s, aged irams 10s 6d to 21s, fat cows £4 10s, yearling to IS-incnth steers and heifers' £2 to £2 os, 2-year-old £3 to £3 10s. OTEKAIKE CLEARING SALE. Press Association. OAMARU, March 3. The clearing sale at Otekaike estate, recently purchased by the Government, took place to-dav. The sheep were the principal feature of the sale, of w(peh 37,000 will be offered. The copious rainfall of yesterday and to-day added, it is estimated about £7OOO to the value. Half-bred ewes (2-tooth) brought from 13s 3d to 17s 2d, tlireequarter-bred owes 18s to 18s 2d, half-bred (4tootlis) 20s Id, half-bred 6-tooths 225, half-bred 8-tooths 15s to 15s Gd, fullmouthed 10s 6d to 11s 9cl. During February 4415 bales of (lax, valued at- £IB,OOO, passed the Government grader at Auckland, an increase of 150 tons on January, the highest of the present season, which began in June. The grade lias been fairly good during the month, but owing to the small market between fair and good fair grade, many millers have been turning attention to fair quality instead of .good fair.
