At the A 7 ictoria Saloon last night J. Nugent and J. B .Rex met _in the competition for the championship ot Gisborne. Rex led at the start, as the result of a nice brea'ic of 27,' but after a slow game Nugent ran out when Ilex was 238. The game was a very slow one, taking SO minutes to (complete. To-night AY. AVallentine and C. AVeston will meet.
