FREEZERS IN SOUTHLAND.
A NEW AGREEMENT. Press Association. INVERCARGILL.. Feb. 5. The Southland Freezing Works Union has adopted the agreement come to between the delegates of that body and representatives of the freezing companies in conference recently. The new agreement provides lor an increase in wages of Is 3d per hour ordinary time ami Is 3d per hour overtime, with double time on Christmas Day and Good Friday, and time and a half on Sundays, Easter Monday, Prince of Wales’ Birthday, King’s Birthday, Labor Day, Regatta Day, and Anniversary Day. Preference is to be given to unionists.
