An inquest.-concerning the death of Mrs. Ada Lydia Sheets, who’ committed suicide at her residence, Mt. .4Weft, yesterday, was held this afternoon. Frederick William Sheets, the husband of deceased, stated that deceased was a native of Carterton, and he could assign no reason for her act. While they were living at To Puke, deceased had complained of being lonely, and for that reason they bad sold their property and come to Auckland to live. Dr. Jones said he had been, attending deceased for the past six months, first for influenza, which often left traces of mental depression. In liis opinion she was mentally deranged when sho committed suicide. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with tho medical testimony.
