FIRST PROSECUTION. Press Association. MARTINBOEOUGH, Jan. 14. The first case under tlie new gambling laws was brought at Martin - borough to-day, when the proprietor of the Greytown Standard was charged with printing aiul publishing the previous day’s dividends in the second day’s hook of the Lower Valley Jockey Club. Defendant pleaded not guilty, and after the evidence had been taken he was fined 20s, aud costs £1 IS:: Bd, on tho charge of printing. The second information of publishing was dismissed.
