Tho Gisborno Club’s coinmittoo is showing ample energy in catering for its memobors and although the first tournament of the season is not quite romplete—a couple of finals remaining to be played off—arrangements are being made for another, ami entries can now be made with the secretary Air. Evans. Entries are also being invited for the Club Champion' ship for which the Hawley Cup is the prize. At Easter time the Club proposes to hold a three (lays open championship tournament at which it is expected a number of visiting play ors will compote. Barlow, who has so far proved to be still the best player on tho courts, talks of taking a few weeks holiday shortly and may not he available for some of the matches that are coming on. During the past lew weeks regular plav lias been going on at Kniti, hut there is nothing of the feverish anxiety to get a game which was noticeable at the beginning of the season and there are always plenty of courts ■ available, whilst those who yearn for singles have ample opportunity to indulge in them.
