THE BAKERS AND THE COUPON SYSTESM.
[To thb Ennoa.] Sir,— You have given the opinions of several housekeepers who object to the new cash system of the bakers r° 1 would like to mention that there is another side to the question. We have only had a week of the new system and although it was a bit awkward at first I am satisfied' now that it is much the best wav. The idea of providing coupons is'a splendid one, for after buying a dozen in advance all you have to do is to hand one or more to the baker when lie comes round. There is no hunting lor change as there used to be whetK er one was paying for one loaf or for a week’s supply. Then tlio reduction of a halfpenny per loaf is in my case very Welcome, tor wc use a wood deal of bread and the halfpennies, soon mount up. I hope tho bakers will stick to the system, as I feel sure it will be better for all.—l am etc. * “HOUSEKEEPER.”
