CHILD BURNT TO DEATH
Press Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, Jan 4. A child three years old, named Kirkpatrick, was burnt to death through playing with matches. She had been put in a room asleep, but is supposed to have got up and got some matches out of some clothes in the room. She was suffocated, and badly burnt, only living for about an hour after the accident. An inquest will bo held to-morrow.
