At G. It. AYyllio’s Horse Bazaar on Saturday afternoon, there were ebout 60 horses entered, but tlie demand was poor. Only half changed hands. The attendance was large, the entry comprised hacks and harness horses principally and prices ranged from £5 to £l7 17s Gd. The racehorse Te .Rinni was offered and passed in at £2O.
The following revenue was received at the Custom house last week: Customs duties £6lO 17s lid, beer duty £3l Is. light dues £27 15s Sd, shipping fees 13s, Harbor Board revenue £266 19s sd. other receints £1 is; total, £941 17s. Miller and Craig report the following prices at Saturday morning’s sale: Hens Is to Is Oct, roosters is Cl to 2s. chickens 9<l to lOd, ducks ls9d. ducklings lOd, eggs Is (kl to Is Oil, butter 9d to Is, old potatoes os to Cs sick, new- potatoes Ltd lb, aprico-s ltd to 2.1 lb. kumcras ltd ib. plums Is 9d box, cabbage Is 9d to 2s dd doz, onions Id to IJd lb. cauliflowers 3s doz. lemon:; Oil doz, turnip* 2d marrows 7d each, carrots 2d Idle, :ed beet 3d bdle, cucumbers is 9d dozen. Tlie largest consignment of cheese from New Zealand to London was taken away by the lonic yesterday, and consisted of 17.471 packages, valued at £65,316.- The lonic also took 42,734 boxes of fiuttcr, valued at £lO6335. Over 35,000 boxes came from tile North Island. Tlie total value of tlie butter and cheese shipped by tlie steamer was £172,351.
