STATEMENT BY MR, O’BRIEN
MR. REDMOND CHARGED WITH MISREPRESENTATION.

Mr. O'Brien describes as an absolute untruth tlie statement- that he mule proposals to transfer to tlie committee of throe tlie arrangements in connection with tlie meeting of tlie Irish Parliamentary party and the National Directory. He explained that lie proposed that the Directory alone .should convene the meeting, but tli at- with a view to commanding tiio confidence of all sections mechanic il arrangements to carry out the Directory’s regulations should "bo entrusted to three secretaries. Hr. O’Brien adds that he merely suggested the names of Messrs. Harrington and Devlin and -Father Clancy, two of whom represented Air. Redmond’s own party. Air. Redmond’s objections had been vented since then for tlie purpose of extricating himself from a dilemma.
