The beams mot again in the afternoon, when Crawford was again victorious, this time by 22 to 12. The handicap pairs competition was advanced a further stage, when O. Hansen and F. A. Martin met Wilson and Cussen, -title latter receiving a handicap of 12 An exciting finish resulted, as on the 21st head the score stood at 21 each, and on the deciding head Hansen ‘drew a ball on to the jack and lay about six inches behind it. Martin then, played a block, and Cussen had no recourse but to drive, which he did, with tho result that lie hit the jiick, which in its turn hit Hanseji’s howl, and rebounded close to one of the front bowls which had been played by "Wilson, "Wilnon and Cussen thus winning a great game by one l*>int.
