Hollamby Druce, in an article in the "Daily Express,” based on information, says the coffin was found airtight. The cheeks were a little sunken and the nose pinched, but the face liscloeed similarity to photographs of Druce. The skin showed no traces of any disease from which it was not denied the Duke of Portland suffered and his father suifered. He was bitterly disappointed, but he did not believe the final civil action would be affected. He was prepared to admit that a man known as Druce died and was buried in Highgate. This nowise idmitted that the body was his grandfather’s or that he was the fif th Duke. The Standard says that on the eve of tlie opening of the grave the shares of G. H. Druce at £6 fell smartly yesterday to £2, and were then quoted at nothing to £l.
G H. BRUCE’S SOLICITOR CLINGS TO MOCK FUNERAL.
(Received Jan. 1, 11.11 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 1. Mr. Kimber Cobum, G. H. Druce’s solicitor, clings to the idea of a mock funeral. He declares that he has received dozens of letters from all parts of the country from people who say they hoard the story from their parents. . -
