MANGAPAPA SCHOOL.
[To tub Editor.]
Sir, —I do not. wish to do anything that might in any way prevent the .Mangapapa people getting that which they are entitled to, hut 1 must take exception to the oft-re-peated statement that Miss A [organ’s health has broken down, as such, statement, if not contradicted, might do her harm. Tlie fact is that she would have resigned 12 months ago, hut as the then headmaster was leaving she decided to remain on, in hopes that tlie conditions under which she w s working might be improved. Sc, big there was no likelihood of that taking place caving to the attitude taken by the Minister of Education, she, acting on the principle that “Prevention is better than cure,” reluctantly resigned,, as tlie risk of teaching under the conditions prevailing at Mangapapa was too great.—l am. etc., AV. MORGAN. Gisborne, Dec. 20.
