NEXT SITTING OF PARLIAMENT
DIFFICULT PROBLEM (SOLVED. TO BE HELD IN GOVERNMENT HOUSE. Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 26. His Excellency the Governor has offered to allow Government House, Wellington, to be used as a meetingplace for next session of Parliament. The Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government, lias accepted the offer, and lias expressed to his Excellency his deep appreciation of this considerate action. Speaking to a Herald representative on tho subject tonight, Sir Joseph Ward said that this arrangement meant a satisfactory solution of a very difficult problem. The temporary arrangements for holding the session on the present site of Parliament House which had been contemplated would, lie said, have involved an outlay of no less than £12,000, and even that would not have provided the _ degree of comfort that will be available at Government House at a comparatively' small outlay. Suitable arrangements would, he said, have of course to be made in regard to a temporary residence for the Governor,
