Richards valued at 3« 6a.—Constables Irwin and Pratt stated that accused resisted voilontly 111111 used particularly bad language. Accused' admitted being drunk and said that he remembered nothing.—James Egan gave evidence as to accused ref using to quit tho Coronation Hotel. Constable Pratt said that they had difficulty in getting him out to the street. —Sergt. Williams .stated' that accused was covered in blood -when arrested, but accused blamed tho police for striking him in the cells. —Const. ‘lrwin stated that accused spat blood ovor tho arresting constables and damaged his coat.—Accused asked tor n Stance, promising not to make a fool of himself again. , The drink, got, him beat and he did, not remember.
