THE ZULULAND TROUBLE

CRITICAL STAGE OVER. NATIVES IMPRESSED. United Press Association —Copyright DURBAN, December 11. Although it is believed that the most critical stage of the Zulu trouble is over, troops intend to thoroughly .inspect the Usutu 'kraal and visit the kraals of other suspected chiefs. The rapidity of mobilisation amazed the natives. Hundreds saw Dinizulu escorted by Natal police with fixed bayonets to appear at Mongoma before Colonel McKenzie, who, after a private interview with Dinizulu, sternly addressed the natives and local chiefs, declaring: “The Government sent me to-put the country in order. You see what has already- been done. If fighting now starts it will be my business to teach a lesson not readilv forgotten.” 'The natives were strongly impressed. The country is now absolutely quiet.
