A Tonga-n correspondent reports au extraordinary occurrence during King Edward’s birthday celebrations. The Tonga n Guards, dissatisfied w-itli a certain uni'iifo-nm, when ordered out to fire the salute, appeared on parade in tatters, having ripped their uniforms in a disgraceful manner. The British Minister called upon the Prune Minister lor an explanation, and the latter moved that the King’s guards bp disbanded, with the exception of one uniformed member. llie Council lore voted unanimously for disbandment.
