BUSINESS NOTES.

Cooling, refreshing summer drinks are obtainable at the Central Cordial Factory (Mr. Harry Martin, proprietor). The line comprises lemonade, soda-ivater, ginger-ale, champagne cider, soda, limejuice, hop and ginger beer, and lemon squash. All orders promptly attended to. Messrs H. J. Peaeocke and Co. intimate that they were in no way parties to the advertisement' which appeared notifying a rise in the: price of timber. The firm advise customers that they have not decided" to raise the price of timber at present. The fruit and grocery business lately carried on by Mr. Chilton has been acquired by Mr C. L. Ferguson. Stafford, are for lease as a whole to guit tenant, as the owner is retiring from the timber business. Five cottages, now in course of erection, are for sale. This is claimed to bo a good investment for the thrifty, as a houso can be obtained on easy terms. Mr. C. Gray, Waiohika, has a number of Shorthorn bulls for salo. Sherratt’s property, Matawa’i. It will be sold in 14 days unless claimed and expenses paid. "" For the stock sale at Matawhero on Thursday next, 12th inst., Messrs Williams and Kettle have an entry of 500 mixed sheep and 100 head of cattle. Further entries are invited. Messrs F. Hall and Sons advertise for a boy to drive waggon, also several boys for the plumbing and painting works. A seven-roomed house, with all conveniences, at Whataupoko, is to let by Mr. F. Hall. Mr. W. Lissaut Clayton has for sale 8000 acres at £3 3s. This property winters 7000 sheep, and when fully improved will carry over lj sheep to the acre. . ■ Potatoes of excellent (fatality are offered at 9s per satek by/ Messrs Gaudin and Co. Messrs J. Peckover and Co. require improved sheep farms for Southern . clients.

The firm are offering, from their extensive list of properties, a number of the cheapest sections and bouses, as well as many country properties of- exceptional value. Businesses of all descriptions in Gisborne and elsewhere are also for sale. An inspection of the list should well repay investors and speculators.
