On Sunday Mr J. W. Nolan returned from a short business trip to Auckland. After a long stay at the Hospital, Mr, Graham, who sustained a rather severe concussion of the brain in a trap accident on tho Taruheru bridge some time ago, has been discharged from the institution.

On Saturday night last a daughter of Mrs. Woodward, Patutahi, fell from a tree and broke her arm. ' At a late hour last night Dr. Schumacher reported that she was progressing favorably towards recovery. Messrs Ensor and Roland, wlio were injured recently in a motor-car accident on the Ma'kauri road, were reported at a late hour last night to be making satisfactory progress. On Sunday Dr. De Clive Lowe arrived from Auckland with a Rontgen Ray apparatus for the purpose of examining Mr. J. Cannon, who was recently badly injured at Tolaga. The examination took place yesterday, and it is expected that Mr. Cannon will, in time, regain the full use of his limbs. . _ • At the meeting of the Executive of the Gisborne No-License League, held last night, Mr C. Pallc, the local organising agent of tlie New Zealand Alliame'e, tendered liis resignation, having accepted a similar position in th“ Otaki electorate. He leaves here at the latter end of February. _On the motion of the Rev. W. Grant, a resolution was unanimously passed expressing regret at Mr. Palk’s prospective departure, and hearty appreciation "of bis work "in this electorate.
