.DEFICIENT TELEPHONE LIST. [To the Editor.]
Sir.-—[fell you kindly ventilate a real public grievance. 1 have been on the Telephone list of subscribers for about 2 months now, and yet not half my fellow subscribers are aware of the fact.. I myself ‘found the greatest difficulty in getting nanus and numbers, having ito go through an old list (the. last printed) dated May 1907. Besides this I have numerous printed cards tacked upon my office wall bearing the incriptions “additions”"*‘corrections” “deletions” “alterations” “correct your list” and soon—enough to puzzle a Gisborne lawyer. Surely we liavo a genius in the P. O. Department capable of simplifying.this chaotic and bewildering state of affairs. AVe pay £5 a vear with an entrance fee for the privilege of worrying through these various lists and doing very little business in t-lio longest possible time. —I am, etc., ; CITIZEN. Gisborne, Dec. 7.
