A LOSS OF £250 THROUGH FRUIT FLY. Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 5. A shipment of apricots from Parramatta, which arrived by yesterday’s steamer, proved to bo affected by the Queensland fly. though the great bulk of the fruit was l'reo irom tie parasite. On account of contagun a number of cases were destroyed totalling 300, and only 50 got through. These latter were sold this morning at satisfactory prices, but the loss on the condemned fruit will total abont £250. Tho plums by the same boat wore free from parasites, but the f hipmenc was small. It realised good prices at this morning’s auction sales.
