AVERAGES 19i KNOTS. (Special to Timos.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. Tho turbine- lorry stoamor Maori, having boon docked and cleaned, did some fast steaming on her journey between Lyttelton and Wellington last night. Sho succeeded in lowering tho previous record of 9 hours 25 minutes l'rom / wharf to wharf by 1.3 minutes, but tho record from Heads to Heads was only 8 hours 42 minutes, or 1 minute moro than the previous record from Cape Campbell to Wellington wharf. The Maori d>d some fast steaming, hor average speed being 19J knots.
