GISBORNE CLUB. IH. Kershaw and P. C. Bayly met last evening in the final race for the trophies presented by Air. E. H. Gibbon. A rather bad start was effected, Kershaw getting left by abrut two lengtlis at the post, Bayly made the most of his lead, and kept t throughout. Kershaw made a gallant effort from the bridge, but die handicap proved too much for him, and Bayly was declared the tvinir.-r by- a length. POA'ERTY BAA: CLUB. The double sculls competition was continued last evening, when Winter (7seths) beat Ledger (12secs) easily. R. AlcGuffie and Lowe were the other contestants. Their race was marred by an accident to Lowe’s footboard, leaving AlcGuffie to paddle in an easy winner. The draw for to-night’s races resulted as follows: —C. Somerville v. R. AlcGuffie, and Wilkinson v. Winter.
