Tho Customs duties collected at the local Custom-house for the month of November were as follow: Spirits .4:1586 11s lOd, cigars and cigarettes £376 16s lOd, tobacco £621 12s, wine £196 18s lid, tea 13s 4d, cocoa £7 3s Gd, goods by r weight £2Ol 7s Bd, goods ad valorem £SOB 14s 6d, other duties £4l 3s 3d; total £3or. Is lOd. Tho .total for November, 1906, was £2796 11s 2d. Tho excise duty, beer, for November amounted to £142 7s. During last week the duties collected were: —Customs duties £505 5s lOd, beer duty £37 6s Gd, light dues £l9 5s lOd, shipping fees 265, Harbor Board revenuo £ll3 •4 9s lid, other receijits 17s, total £677 15s 7d. Alessrs F. S. Alalcolm and Co. report a largo attendance of buyers at their mart on Saturday. Poultry and produco realised as follows: Ducklings Is 4d to Is Oil, ducks 2s Id to 2s 6d, cockerels Is 3d to Is sd, table birds Is 8d to 2s Od, eggs Hid and Is, butter 9d and lOd, peas Is sd, new potatoes l:]d to 2}d lb, gooseberries same as last week, oranges 4s case, lemons 9u doz, cabbages Is to 3s per dozen, cauliflowers (poor) 2s to 6s dozen, spring onions Is doz bundles. A consignment of three tons of potatoes, slightly' off color, found buy’ers at from 6s 6d to 7s 9d per sack. The firm desires to impress upon sellers tho fact that neatness and cleanliness in packing is not lost sight of by buyers. It pays well to pack apples, plums, oranges, quinces, and other fruits in new cases of, say', 201bs nett weight of fruit, and tomatoes in, say, 10 and 20 lbs. Gooseberries, lemons, and new potatoes sell best in now scrim bags, potatoes, say, 12 to 241bs each. Every package should have the grower’s brand or name, witli nett weight or quantity added, either branded on tho case or hag, or on a ticket tied on same. Alalcolm and Co. aro now making enquiries from local and Auckland timber merchants as to price of the various cases, and will lie 1 pleased to give all information to clients.

Alessrs. Business was not very brisk at tlie Lowe street Horse Bazaar (in Saturday, the present being the slow season for horseflesh. An entry of about, ■forty, chiefly hacks, was submitted, but the demand was weak. There was no demand for the few heavy horses put up.
