Penelope is the belle of all the back areas of ft certain street, and counts among lier • admirers all the callers of the kitchen, but- gives especial favor to ■two uniformed men. Owing to a mistake in lier calculations itlic “belle” arranges for the visit of these two on the same evening. On the arrival of both complications ensue, and the appearance of the “missus” adds to the distress of the lovers, and the amusement of (the audience. The unravelling of the plot is masterful, and the humor is sustained to the end. (Playgoers in search of a laugh should not miss this little gem.
