United Press Association —Cop/right SYDNEY. November 22. Obituary: Mr. Clarke, the father of the New South Wales House, aged 85. Ho' represented Eden for 33 years. Press Association. WHANGAREI, Nov. 23. Simon Fraser, known throughout the North as the father of Scots, died last night, aged 85. He came to the colony from Assynt-, Sutherlandshire, 60 years ago. Ho was first on tho Ballarat golflfields, and afterwards opened up goldfields in Otago. Several times he petitioned for compensation on the latter account.
