FARM LABORERS’ DISPUTE.
INTIMIDATION OF EMPLOYEES. Press Association. * CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 21. The hearing of the dispute between the Agricultural Laborers’ Union and the farmers of the Canterbury industrial district was resumed yester-dayi-before the Conciliation Board. the organiser of the Uiiion, in the course of his evidence stated that the reason why ho had to appeal to the Trades Council tor assistance was that the' organising of the -Union was hampered by the fact that farmers were intimidating those laborers who desired to join the Union.' Hundreds of men who were willing to ioin - were - frightened to do so. Witness gattf particiilars of the causes which lecl to his dismissal from the different places lie was employed at Other witnesses were examined, apd tiro hearing was adjourned till to-day.
