Mr. R. Coop, of Opoutama, Maliia, is at present on a visit to town, and is staying at the Masonic Hotel.
At Mr. I. S. Simson’s residence, Victoria Township, Miss Ine Katrina Si-mson, eldest daughter of Mr I. S. -Si-mson, -was married -by tlio Rev. Cockrell to Mr AVil’fred Bea-u----iniont Orr, Motu. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, wore a navy -blue tailor-made costume, with navy blue hat trimmed with pale blue ostrich feathers and tulle. Tho bridesmaids, Misse-s -Macasser and A r ale-ntino Simson, -were dressed in white embroidered muslin, with crinoline straw hats, trimmed -with pink ribbon and roses. Air McArthur acted as -best man. -After the ceremony a reception was held at Mr Simson’s residence and t-ho happy couple left for their future homo at Motu.
Mr AA'm. Armour, who -had resided in Gisborne for upwards of twenty years, died yesterday at -his residence, Childer’s Road, after a somewhat lengthy illness.
