ARBITRATION BILL.

TO BE DBOPPED THIS SESSION. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. I have good authority for inferring that it is tho intention of tho Government to drop the Arbitration Bill. Tho Bill has been left over so long that thoro is little chance of its passing now. There is considerable jubilation in local labor circles at tho success of Mr. McCullough in tho rocont contest for tile workers’ seat on tho Arbitration Court bench. I understand that tho voting was closo. Information as to the result leaked out prematurely from an unofficial source. Tho Government need not necessarily confer tho.appointment upon the candidate securing the greatest number of votes, but under tho x>resont circumstances it is unlikely that they will bo able to go past Mr. McCullough.
