'A special meeting of the Samaritan Home board of trustees was held this afternoon for the purpose of considering «. notice of motion that tlio services of the matron and sub-matron of the Homo should bo dispensed with. Tlie matter was tlio outcome of tile refusal of the two officers named to carry out the instructions of tho chairman to hand over a girl inmate to the iTe Oranga Home authorities. The opinion was expressed, that tho system of control at the Samaritan Home would have to be reorganised, but after considerable discussion the motion was lost.
