Discussing 'Mr. Kidston’s letter to tho Labor .party inviting co-operation against the Legislative Council as an obstructionist body, Brisbane’s official organ of (the Labor Party says the party cannot violate the decisions of the Convention or grant Mr. Jvidston’s candidates immunity of opposition at elections. Mr. Kidston, it remarked, has indicted a lot of harm on the Labor Party. But lids power was now at an end. No longer was.there a danger of tho party divesting themselves of it heir freedom anil accepting tho programme of the Government, whose ideal is expediency.
