Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Nov. 7 The first meeting of the recentlyformed New Zealand Shorts’ Fwler - tioil was held last night. Tim constitution and rates drawn up by the conference held in Wehngton ni S(;ptember were adopted, With- slig amendment's. It was resolved that tho li clad quarters of the Uederatio for tho first year should be at Olmstchurch, and that in future years it should bo in such place as the executive might from time to time decide. It was also decided that tn~ affiliated bodies should bo entitled to bo represented by two delegates earn at general meetings. The following were elected an Executive Commit—tee: Messrs W. G. Alack (Boxing association), W. G. Garrard (N.Z. Rugby Union), E. Nordon (Hockey Association), J. R. Morrison (Rowing Association), R. W. Thornton (Cricket Council). Mr J. E. Green A.A) was appointed secretary arid treasurer, and Mr. A. Donaldson (Swimming Association) hon. auditor. A motion was adopted by 10 votes to 7 expressing approval of the clause in flio new Gaming and Lotteries Bill relating to tho suppression of betting at sports meetings. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 7. At iai meeting of tho Executive of the N Z. Athletic Union, the President stated that none of tlio Associations outside Auckland city were joining tho independent Union formed in Auckland.
