INSPECTION OF FLOCKS.

Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 7. At a meeting of the South Island Sheepbreeders’ Association to-night-, tlio chairman, Sir. Geo. Clifford, said ho intended proposing a system of inspection of flocks for the purpose of seeing that the proper standard of efficiency was maintained and should bo (adopted. His suggestion was that flocks of one breed should be inspected one year, and those of another the next.' The inspection would involve about three months’ work, and the annual cost would be about £l5O. He moved that the Council of the Association be recommended to exercise their powers under rule 12 to inspect flocks, and that they should do so flock by flock as seemed most convenient, and that this year Border Leicesters should be inspected throughout the South Island.
