The Mitcbelson Timber Company are laying down a 6-mile locomotive tramway at Iv iri kop un i, where they have some 50,000,000 feet of kauri, rimu, and white pine, Tlie Tataraki mill owners are .also laying down a tramway from Tangawahine to Avoca, over which 10,000,000 ft of white pine is expected to pass.
