INCREASING IN ACTIVITY. Press. Association. AUCKLAND, Nov. 6. News brought by the Atua states that the volcano on the Island of Savaii, in the Samoan Group, lias become much enlarged, and is now stated to be the most extensive active eruption in the world. The outflow of lava is tremendous and daily increasing Many of the residents of Savaii have left their land, considering it unsafe to remain any longer. A new island is said to bo rising off the east of Savaii, and probably a new crater will be .developed in the sea. Steam elonds from the volcano thousands of feet high are everyday sights.
