Be.ll announced, amidst enthusiasm, tbit of 97,631 ballot papers issued, 88,134 were returned. ’ Of these 76,925 favored a strike a rod 8775 were against such a step. He •hoped the conference with Mr. Lloyd Georg e on "Wednesday would render ;a strike unnecessary.
