A COMPARISON. In the course of Ills evidence in the Te Ami case, Mr. J. B. Kells gave the following comparison of the prices of fat sheep (COlbs average) for the past eight years, also quotations for local wools:
Average for eiglit years: Wethers, 13s lOld, eves 11s 4d. Note: Four and five-year-old cull ewes have averaged rather higher than fat prices during the period. Local values of wool: 1899-0, fid; 1900-1, 43d; 1901-2, 4id; 1902-3, fid; 1903-4, 63d ; 1904-5, 8d ; 1905-6, lOd ; 1906-7, lid; average for eight 5-ears, nearly 7d.,
