Poultry vms of uniform excellence, and the judges referred in eulogistic terms to the display. A few ring competitors were put through to-day, but the major portion are to come. The few sections judged showed out creditably. The pony and polo pony sections were both admirable, especially the latter, the prize pony being Gilford Moore’s Romeo. A small portion of the harness section was judged. Walker's .Broncor _ and l>inke was awarded lirst for pair of harness horses, while H. Stephen’s pair won the tandem competitdoni. The pig section was very good in every respect. The judge referred in terms of the highest praiso to the excellence of the exhibit, but thought TnmwortiW had been crossed, thereby depriving somo characteristics of The breed. In the Berkshire H. Lancaster’s boar was awarded climniiion, E. Halo’s in the Tanwvorth section, mud D. Gray in Yorkshires. Poultry .and pigeon exhibits were good, and well worth seeing. The news that Parliament -has been adjourned to allow the Premier, the Leader of the Opposition, and members to be present at the Show lias been, received with general satisfaction. It was- proposed ito entertain the Parliamentary party at lunch by the president and officers of the Association, and that the party be met at the railway and conveyed round the town in motor cars.
