A BREACH OF PRIVILEGE.
Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 24. Yesterday Mr. Gray brought under the notice of the House what lie considered a possible breach of privilege when the question of State coal mines had been before the A to L Committee. When Mr. Casquoinc, manager of the Department, was under examination, he (Mr. Gray) asked him a question as to the relative values of the Westport Coal Company s and State coals. He had since received a communication from the engineer of the Christchurch tramways, stating that Mr. Gasquoine had divulged to an official of the State Coal Department at Christchurch matters that had transpired at the meeting of the Committee. .
