O'NEILL’S BUCKJUMPERS.

There was a lull house at the performance given by O’Neill’s Buckjumpers last night. A lady rider, Miss Burton, made her first appearance, and created a good impression. All the other items on the programme were gone through in good style, and the audience was not stinted in its applause. A matinee for children is to be given on Saturday afternoon, when a suitable programme will bo submitted.

THE CATHOLIC BAZAAR

The bazaar at His Alajesty’s in aid of the funds of St. Alary’s Church was very well patronised last night. The large print of Holman Hunt’s picture “Tho Light of tho AVorld” got a lot of attention. The bazaar will bo open again this evening.

BARRABA BUCKJUAII’ERS

This show will give a change of programme to-night and to-morrow night. Hearing that some member of a rival combination are anxious to ride the outlaw “Bobs,” tho management offer them tho chance to do so, providing they mount in tho usual show style, viz., bareback with flank rope.

The inaugural piece of the short three nights’ season of the AA’illough-by-AVard Company at His Alajesty’s Theatre, which commences on AVednesday evning next, will bo “Mr, Hopkinson.” The comedy, which is by Air. R. C. Carton, has been a very great- success. The following is a brief outline of the plot;—Hopkinson, having started in life behind the counter, has come into a fortune, and aspires to move in high society. A husband is wanted for Lady Myra Egglesby, nieco of the Duchess of Braceborougli. Hopkinson is suggested, and lie fulfils the conditions prescribed by the father of the Duchess, the Earl of Addleton, who holds a mortgage over Braceborougli Castle, viz., that lie should be rich and have an unblemished past. On tho eve of the wedding, however, tho milliner to whom Hopkinson was engaged before coming into his money, appears on the scene asmaid to Lady Myra. The efforts of Hopkinson to bribe her to disappear are ineffectual, and Tlie girl produces letters in which Hopkinson has promised her marriage. The Earl and Hopkinson have to pay up £SOOO between them to the milliner to keep the matter out of court. After this lias been done it is discovered that Lady Myra lms run off with and got married to Lord Ganthorpe, who lias borrowed £IOOO from Hopkinson just before tlie event. Tims the social ambitions of Air. Hopkinson come to grief. Aliss Grace I'alotta, Air. Willoughby, and Air. AA’ard are said to have congenial uni ts in the new piece. On Thursday the company present “The New Clown” and on Friday “The Man from Alexico.” The box plan will be opened at All*. Aliller’s tins moinmg.
