United Press Association—Copyright SYDNEY, Oct. 21. A special general meeting of members of the Mutual Life Association confirmed a resolution adopted at ■tho meeting of September 18th, in favor of amalgamating with tho Citizene’s Life. The Chairman, Sir Norman McLaurin, referred to the attempts made to stir up opposition by the baseless assertion that the Association was winding up. Jle had no hesitation in saving that no arrangement could have been made with any other office in Australasia which would have afforded members advantages equal to those which this ■agreement securel. With the full consciousness of the responsibility resting upon his in doing so, he submitted tho resolution for acceptance Ho also announced that 5492 proxv votes had been received in favor of amalgamation and 62 against. A show of hands was then taken. The ™ lr . ma j> declared the voting to be 108 m favor of the resolution and two against.
