The abovo clubs played a friendly „ lim e at Victoria Domain yesterday afternoon, the former winning by 3o runs. Common, Shelton and l batting first, were all disposed of tor 29 runs, of which number “Pomp Roderick claimed 9 (not out) and “Sailor” Roderick 7. H W. W ack was very destructive with the ball bagging six wickets for eleven runs, j °H Wack and Pine also bowled well. ’ Te Rau’s fielding was very good, Cary, Olsen (who was; fielding substitute for Monk), and Dr. Co - lins doing good work, ihe lattei, at point, brought off three good catches. For To Rau Dr. Collins was top scorer with 24 (not out); Cary 13, and Pine 9 being next m order. Brown and Roderick bowled unchanged, the former securing seven wickets tor -J, and the latter three for 29. Common, Shelton and Co.’s fielding was poor, G Puflett and Gnnlinton beino- the ’ best .
