RAILWAY DISASTERS.

United Press Association —Cop/riqht (Received October J 7, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON. Oct. 10.

There have been four deaths in connection with the Sowerby bridge accident, lin which an electric train was derailed and crashed into a house.

At the inquest on the Shrewsbury railway accident, two signalmen and a guard testified that the train was running away at fully sixty miles an hour, although the homo and distant signals were at danger. (Received October 17, 8.50 a.m.) -MADRID, Oct. 16.

The railway bridge between Berga and Alauresa was destroyed by flood, and a train precipitated into the river. Eleven persons were drowned.

(Received Oet. 17, 9.52 -p.m.) LONDON, Oet. 17. Air. Lloyd George, speaking at Alanchester ; stated that it certainly was mysterious that in the three recent accidents trains driven by capable, experienced drivers rushed madly to ruin at a high speed despite dangerous .signals. The Board of Trade was determined to sift the matter.
