A. AND P. SHOW.
Following are the totals of entries received for the past six years: 1902 724 1903 831 1904 1026 1905 HOO 1900 1335 1907 U 22 It will be seen by this table that the total entries have steadily 'increased during the period under review. This year’s entry of horses is smaller than last year’s, hut this loss is fully in ide up by substantial increases in cattle,' sheep, poultry, dogs, and competitions. In connection with the new pigpens which have been put up, an elevated pen lias been erected to facilitate unloading. The Romney classes this year should exceed in quality anything previously exhibited in the district. Air. E. Short, tlio celebrated AY.a.irain pa breeder, who only returned from England on Friday last with a number of purchases of highly-ibrcd sheep, is an exhibitor in several •lasses. Air. G. AVheeler, another well-known breeder, is also represented, and Messrs. Hutchinson and Sons, of Kissington, have a good entry.
The side-shows will be more numerous tills year than on any previous occasion, and a pleasant day’s outing is assured for people of all tastes and ages. Mr. Kirkpatrick, who has a lot of sheep entries, was far from well carle in the week, and he thought that in consequence he would be unable to show Ip’s boasts, hut his .health has now greatly improved, and there is little doubt that liis slicep will face the indue.
