United Press Association —Copyright (Received Oct. 16, 9.55 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 16. Aii anti-Japanese riot has occurred here. It arose through a drunken white man breaking the window of a Japanese laundry owner, who seized and detained him and summoned the police. The drunkard’s friends collected and the mob destroyed the laundry. Two Japanese were sent to the hospital severely injured, and ten others were badly hurt. In dispersing the mob tlio police used tlieir batons freely, and twenty whites were rather severely clubbed.
