(Boforo Mr. IV. A. Barton, S.M.) Drunkenness. —Nani Apatari was convicted on a chargo of drunkenness, and fined 10s, costs 2s, in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Thos. Carter, alias Jones, alias Johnstono was convicted of a similar offence, and fined £l, with 2s costs, in default 4 days’ imprisonment. Cycling on Footpath.—Geo. Stone, M. A. Neill, and Philip Sheridan were oach fined 10s, with costs 7s, for cycling on tho footpaths. Broach of tho Borough By-laws. Thos. Quinn, proprietor of a livery and bait stables was convicted, and finod £l, with costs 7s, for leaving vehicles on tho roadway in Pool street. O. Rodstono, and J. 11. Ormond for similar broaches of tho bylaw were fined ss, costs 7s. Soiling Liquor on Sunday.—John IValsh, liconseo of tho Tinoroto hotel, was charged with having sold liquor on a Sunday. Mr. H. Bright appeared for the defendant, who pleaded guilty. Mr. R. Nolan watched tho caso on behalf of the landlord. Mr. J. S. Cooper, and Sergeant Williams conducted tlio prosecution. His Worship after hearing the facts ol tlio caso imposed a fine of £o, with costs £ll 17s 6d, tho conviction to bo endorsed oil tho license. Exposing Liquor for Sale. —In a furthor chargo against the same defendant of exposing liquor for sale, tlio information was withdrawn by the police.
