THE PRICE OF FLOUR.
[To the Editor.] Sir,—l was pleased to notice that you drew attention to the serious position that has been created, for the working classes by tlie recent increase of the prico of bread, Tho way things are going I think ilie Government should not only take off the duty on Australian flour but should go into tlie question of establishing State flour mills. AVe 'know what State coal depots have done wherever established in keeping down tlio price of coals, and I fancy we would get our bread cheaper if tlie State were to take a hand in tho trade. —I am, etc., - “FATHER OF A FAMILY.”
